9. Hillary is 100% a better candidate than the GOP could offer
The GOP has been in charge and is well on the way to decimating our country with high deficits, tax cuts to the rich at the price of services to the needy, needless wars causing our young death. Anyday.

16. Which party put 3 southerners
in the Oval Office in the past 50 years? Kerry was the first non-southerner at the top of the ticket since 1988 and he brought Edwards with him. And 2000 was a southerner vs a Connecticut transplant.

20. The DNC does not understand the south
The GOP made a ton of turnout in votes in Florida from the interior parts of the state. And the only way Kerry and Edwards combatted it was to talk about issues the Floridians don't care about. For example, you can't go to Florida and talk about the environment. Why? Because the majority of the population in Florida lives outside the major cities. And those people are surrounded by trees and swamps! Literally. Most Floridians see nothing wrong with the environment. So that issue tanks in the south more often than not. It's a non-starter.
Now you go to some other areas of the country, and that issue might be huge.

You can't bring a New England philosophy to the south. It won't resonate. Just like you can't bring a southern philosophy to the north.
This is something that the DNC fails to understand.

Florida would be easy to turn blue if the DNC would just take the time to figure it out. Florida is not New York. It is not Massachusettes. It is not California. The issues are very different there.

7. Hillary = vote for war
She completely lost me by her vote to let Shrubya attack
Iraq.

Hillary is way to smart to be fooled by the pack of lies
about Iraq having WMDs.

Remember George Gallaway's great speeches to our US Sinate
about the war on Iraq - when they tried to screw with him.

Sorry Hillary, only the republicans want you to run,
so that they can make sure a republican stays in office.

Gotta keep that war machine fed with 50% of all tax dollars...

18. Guys, Al Gore isnt going to run....
He has said more than a few times that he is happy where he is and has no plans to run again.

It's better to find someone that actually wants the job.

23. Agreed
I don't know how many times he has to say, he isn't running to get the message across to some folks. I understand wishful thinking and I too wish he was in the Oval Office now, but I really don't think that will ever happen. If Hillary is the candidate she will get my vote, my hopes is that someone else is the Democratic candidate as I prefer her to be serving the citizens of NY in a long career in the Senate. It will be a wide open field for both parties. There is however this little issue of 2006 comes before 2008 and perhaps attention needs to be paid to the coming election first. Just my 2 cents.
