5. 1 out of 3 Americans isn't being affected and doesn't give a rat's about
anyone else except himself.

And *co knows that too.

If *co is looking for loyal followers, they will probably be disappointed; they will not want vain sycophants as followers. They're the worst sort of follower, for they are not followers at all. Nor genuinely loyal.

3. Not much of a bounce from Zarqawi, it looks like.
I presume this poll was taken after last week, right?

Just think how far he's likely to go down if MORE BAD NEWS emerges.

4. Zogby had it at 31% last week
It seems consistent, he's been in the basement for quite a while now. The only fluctuations are within the margin of error.

Scroll down for the Zogby poll, interesting they don't publish it in the summary table.

8. personally, I think there is a point at which the corporate media...
...will simply start making up numbers. Maybe we've already reached it. Like a vain dowager who's been 29 for the last 15 years, Bush will have an approval rating that never drops below the low thirties, even when he's barricaded in the White House because there isn't any place left he can safely travel.

9. USA Today/Gallup has Bush at 38%
The poll, conducted Friday to Sunday and released Monday, found Bush’s approval rating is up to 38 percent from 36 percent earlier this month and an all-time low of 31 percent in May.

Bush’s approval ratings on two hot-button domestic issues - energy and immigration - have risen since late April. Approval of Bush’s handling of energy policy rose from 22 percent to 30 percent and immigration rose from 26 percent to 38 percent.

Forty-seven percent said things are going very or moderately well in Iraq, up from 38 percent in March. Fifty-one percent said the decision to send U.S. troops was a mistake, down from 57 percent in April.

That always gives him more points than the other polls.

12. Notice how they had the graphic up from the last poll which was 35%
Edited on Mon Jun-12-06 06:10 PM by tanyev
and they said that this new poll (at 33%) is "virtually unchanged" Then they pointed out how he got a 6 point bounce after the capture of Saddam Hussein--from 52% to 58%. Just couldn't bring themselves to say that the numbers went DOWN after the Zarqawi news.

25. Outrageous, eh?
I understand that the difference between 33% and 35% could well fall inside the much-ballyhooed "margin of error", but if that's what they're using to justify "virtually unchanged", then they also need to clarify that supposed 6% bounce. "Factoring in the margin of error, President Bush's bounce after the capture of Saddam Hussein ranged anywhere from 2%-6%."

even Rasmussen concedes that Bush got "no immediate boost."

17. I wonder if Tweety will be surprised (again) that nobody likes his hero
I mean people DON'T LIKE GEORGE W. BUSH. At this point Bin Laden probably could be captured and there wouldn't be a huge upturn for the man. People are finally waking up to what an incompetent, evil fool he is.

It all depends on WHO you poll and HOW the poll is taken.
