FBI says "No hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11."
FBI: Bin Laden Not Wanted for 9/11?

http://www.milligazette.com/dailyup...den_911_fbi.htm

By Enver Masud
The Milli Gazette Online
11 June 2006

The FBI's "Most Wanted Terrorists" web page does not state that Bin Laden is wanted for the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

The FBI page states: "Usama Bin Laden is wanted in connection with the August 7, 1998, bombings of the United States Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya. These attacks killed over 200 people. In addition, Bin Laden is a suspect in other terrorist attacks throughout the world."

When asked why there is no mention of 9/11 on the FBI's web page, Rex Tomb of the FBI's public affairs unit is reported to have said, "The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Usama Bin Laden's Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11."

In the months leading up to the Septmber 11, 2001 attack, it is reported, the Taliban "outlined various ways bin Laden could be dealt with. He could be turned over to the EU, killed by the Taliban, or made available as a target for Cruise missiles." The Bush administration did not accept the Taliban's offer.

"On September 20 2001," according to the Guardian, "the Taliban offered to hand Osama bin Laden to a neutral Islamic country for trial if the US presented them with evidence that he was responsible for the attacks on New York and Washington. The US rejected the offer."

On September 23, 2001 the BBC reported that four of the hijack "suspects" - Waleed Al Shehri, Abdulaziz Al Omari, Saeed Alghamdi, and possibly Khalid Al Midhar - were alive, and that FBI Director Robert Mueller acknowledged "the identity of several of the suicide hijackers is in doubt."

Bin Laden, in a September 28, 2001 interview with the Pakistani newspaper Ummat, is reported to have said: "I am not involved in the 11 September attacks in the United States."

Skeptics dismiss the video tape "found in a house in Jalalabad", Afghanistan, which allegedly shows Bin Laden confessing to the September 11 attacks. In a December 20, 2001, broadcast by German TV channel Das Erste "two independent translators and an expert on oriental studies found the White House's translation not only to be inaccurate, but manipulative."

FBI Director Robert Mueller, in a speech at the Commonwealth Club on April 19, 2002, said: "In our investigation, we have not uncovered a single piece of paper - either here in the United States, or in the treasure trove of information that has turned up in Afghanistan and elsewhere - that mentioned any aspect of the September 11 plot."

The evidence against Bin Laden, promised by Secretary of State Colin Powell on September 23, 2001, has yet to be made available to the public.

Bin Laden is the "prime suspect" in the September 11 attacks, said President Bush on September 17, 2001, and he pledged to capture him "dead or alive."

5. Easy enough to check out the FBI website
http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/terrorists/terbinladen.htm

No mention of being wanted for the attacks on 9/11; however, there's an interesting blurb about a reward...

snip

REWARD

The Rewards For Justice Program, United States Department of State, is offering a reward of up to $25 million for information leading directly to the apprehension or conviction of Usama Bin Laden. An additional $2 million is being offered through a program developed and funded by the Airline Pilots Association and the Air Transport Association.

7. That's because the NSA and CIA never officially told the FBI about their
warrantless domestic surveillance operations against al-Qaeda cells known to be operating inside the US before 9/11.

No records, no accountability. Worked for everyone involved. See, http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0310/S00257.htm

There was nothing "incompetent" or "botched" about two airliners purposefully hitting the World Trade Towers.

19. Not to mention restore opium production.
Taliban had shut opium farmers down 96% in 2000. The year after the US invasion
was a record year. Mike Ruppert says illegal drugs are a $500 billion a year
business, and that the banking system would collapse without the cash flow.

(For comparison, Saudi Arabian oil is worth $163 billion a year.)

September 16, 2001: Bin Laden Denies Involvement in 9/11 Attacks

Confirming earlier reports (Reuters, 9/13/2001) , bin Laden denies any involvement in the 9/11 attacks. In a statement to Al Jazeera, he states, “I would like to assure the world that I did not plan the recent attacks, which seems to have been planned by people for personal reasons.” (CNN, 9/17/2001) The US claims that he confesses his role in a video message two months later, but the contents of that video are highly disputed.

September 28, 2001: Bin Laden Again Denies Involvement in 9/11 Attacks

Bin Laden says in an interview, “I have already said that I am not involved in the September 11 attacks in the United States (see September 16, 2001). As a Muslim, I try my best to avoid telling a lie. I had no knowledge of these attacks, nor do I consider the killing of innocent women, children and other human beings as an appreciable act. Islam strictly forbids causing harm to innocent women, children and other people. Such a practice is forbidden even in the course of battle. ... The United States should try to trace the perpetrators of these attacks within itself; the people who are a part of the US system but are dissenting against it. Or those who are working for some other system; persons who want to make the present century as a century of conflict between Islam and Christianity so that their own civilization, nation, country, or ideology can survive. They may be anyone, from Russia to Israel and from India to Serbia. In the US itself, there are dozens of well-organized and well-equipped groups capable of causing large-scale destruction. Then you cannot forget the American Jews, who have been annoyed with President Bush ever since the Florida elections and who want to avenge him. ... Then there are intelligence agencies in the US, which require billions of dollars worth of funds from Congress and the government every year. ... They needed an enemy. ... Is it not that there exists a government within the government in the United Sates? That secret government must be asked who carried out the attacks.” (Daily Ummat (Karachi), 9/28/2001)

30. It appears there is a real Rex Tomb who is a PR guy with the FBI
Here's an article in Wired magazine from back in Sept. 27, 2001 about this very subject. Wired also noted that bin Laden's FBI page mentioned nothing about 9/11:

http://www.wired.com/news/conflict/0,2100,47109,00.html

(snip)

The reason? Fugitives on the list must be formally charged with a crime, and bin Laden is still only a suspect in the recent attacks in New York City and Washington.

"There's going to be a considerable amount of time before anyone associated with the attacks is actually charged," said Rex Tomb, who is head of the FBI's chief fugitive publicity unit and helps decide which fugitives appear on the list. "To be charged with a crime, this means we have found evidence to confirm our suspicions, and a prosecutor has said we will pursue this case in court."

(snip)

I guess they just never really got around to that, with them getting ready to lie to us about Iraq and all...

33. FBI also says the hijackers left no paper trail - That sounds impossible
http://www.fbi.gov/pressrel/speeches/speech041902.htm

Robert S. Mueller, III, Director, FBI
Commonwealth Club of California
San Francisco, CA
April 19, 2002

<snip>The plans were hatched and financed overseas, beginning at least five years ago, but perhaps going back even further. Each of the hijackers came from abroad: 15 from Saudi Arabia, two from the United Arab Emirates, and one each from Lebanon and Egypt. All 19 entered our country legally, and only three had overstayed the legal limits of their visas on the day of the attacks.

While here, the hijackers did all they could to stay below our radar. They contacted no known terrorist sympathizers. They committed no egregious crimes. They blended into the woodwork.

The hijackers also apparently left no paper trail. In our investigation, we have not yet uncovered a single piece of paper –– either here in the U.S. or in the treasure trove of information that has turned up in Afghanistan and elsewhere –– that mentioned any aspect of the September 11th plot. As best we can determine, the actual hijackers had no computers, no laptops, no storage media of any kind. They used hundreds of different pay phones and cell phones, often with prepaid calling cards that are extremely difficult to trace. And they made sure that all the money sent to them to fund their attacks was wired in small amounts to avoid detection.

In short, the terrorists managed to exploit loopholes and vulnerabilities in our systems, to stay out of sight, and to not let anyone know what they were up to beyond a very closed circle. The patient, skilled and exploitive approach used by the hijackers means our prevention efforts must be massive, globally collaborative and supported by ample technology and analytical capacity. It means that the information possessed by every agency - - both here and abroad, both federal and local - - must go into the multi-agency prevention mix and be acted upon.

39. A 'fragment' of the passport was found
He had a valid U.S. multiple-entry visa in his passport, a fragment of which was found at the Flight 93 crash site.

And as with anything involving planes exploding, I can see that as being plausible. Had they found all of them, that might be a stretch. My brother in law was in a car wreck many years back, was going about 55mph. He was asleep in passenger side. The driver dosed off and slammed into a dump truck. Bro-in-law was thrown from the car - unharmed. Driver killed instantly.

If the person flying the plane was partially ripped from the plane before the fuel ignited, I can see parts of the clothes, etc, being intact and thrown from the plane. In either direction.

It is like a canon in some cases (or like tennis ball canons we used to make with lighter fluid). Put the ball in canon, then throw in a note book or some paper, and fire away. Objects between the explosion and the person can shield many things.

As another side note to that, I burn a lot of things in my fire pit. Try putting a full news paper in there sometime, toss on some logs, sticks, etc, light it up - and let it burn all night. You will still be able to read part of the paper in the AM that was insulated due to thickness of the paper (which ain't much on daily editions).

43. THIS is today's MOST SIGNIFICANT news item!!!

Hi there...check this out very carefully. Why is Meuller distancing himself from the Bin Ladin
evil doer party line. He made this statement to a pure gold establishment audience. He's doing
this either or both for himself or a faction that sees * as about to take a big hit on this
entire issue and event.

This is huge. I'm looking forward to someone commenting on the connections between Meuller and
those who may be fed up with *'s nonsense.

Something has happened that cause Meuller to distance himself from * and do it in a public way.

This is a huge event in the internal positioning and what I call the "management" civil war.

I love America!!!!

MIHOP folks.

Moron* never ever tells the truth ever, why in god's name should we believe him about anything, especially 9/11.

Our country is a lie.

48. So what are they really saying here?
I am just guessing that if average ten year old can figure out that 9/11 is a big lie by just piecing together basic information then the FBI and a sundry of other law enforcement might have a credibility problem. Yea, kind of late, isn't it?

It's not that bush has no clothes, it's the whole establishment that has no clothes

49. I kept wondering how they got their proof.
Edited on Tue Jun-13-06 10:42 AM by Gregorian
All along, I've been wanting to see the proof that Bin Laden pulled off the 9/11 attacks. I just kept letting it slide. I figured, well, if he says he did it, then he must have done it.

But now I this opens a new can of worms. Let's assume he didn't have a connection. Well, he has made tapes. They've been produced at opportune times. He was supposedly on the CIA payroll.

This whole administration stinks like shit.

Edit- What I'm saying is, is Bin Laden this administrations hitman?

54. I was suspecting this...
I remember when 9/11 happened, there were rumors of Bin Laden but there were also rumors that he wasn't the one. He said at the time that he wasn't involved but would gladly take the credit. He was certainly impressed and pleased by the result but I've always wondered if he was really the mastermind.

55. That's... interesting
It's been known for some time that OBL is not on the FBI most wanted list.
Now they are on record stating that it's not a mistake.

56. I think my head is going to explode.
Let's see. We went to Afghanistan to get the guy who did 9/11 and missed him.

We went into Iraq because they helped the guy who did 9/11.

Now, the guy who did 9/11 really didn't do 9/11. We've gone from one war based on lies to two wars based on lies.

So to quote Phil Collins: "It's all been a pack of lies!"

:argh: Sometimes I wish I could go back to living in ignorance. Much happier times. :banghead:

65. And the bait and switch is indeed being performed by the MSM:
Gibson falsely claimed Zarqawi "blew up the Cole"
On Fox News' The Big Story, John Gibson falsely claimed that former Al Qaeda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was recently killed in Iraq by American forces, "attacked" and "blew up" the USS Cole in October 2000. In fact, according to the 9-11 Commission report, the attack on the Cole was an Al Qaeda operation that was "supervised and directed" by Osama bin Laden. Read more

64. It was the b*sh crime syndicate
It took 9 months to get everythng in order and Mueller in position. GFY mixed up the planes and Rummy had everything else shut down. Shoot down orders were secured and dumby read a goat book while Card made him stay put.
Poppy probably had a hand in it along with a sprinkling of Bin Ladens and Jeb and Marvin did their part. How it has been kept under wraps is beyond me. Oh yeah, the cia was purged and money seems to flow in the right directions and those poor souls who refuse to play along find themselves committing suicide.
