1. I was just thinking about that yesterday ...
I haven't taken the link out of my browser list and I decided I won't.

Great site indeed.

2. I miss them too.
It was rumored that it was someone who got involved in Kerry's campaign and that is why it dropped out of sight in the time leading up to the 2004 election.

It was a great site. If it was still around now, I am sure the flashing red light would have become permanent.

4. Same here.
I think of them whenever I think to call someone a "Media Whore".
It's automatic.

Cheers to whomever they were. :toast:

10. Jumping in with kudos for MWO

I loved that site. It was back and forth from DU to MWO all the time for me back in the day.

If I had to guess, I'd say whoever was responsible for MWO joined forces on the mediamatters.org site with Brock.

12. I loved it too.
Wikipedia has an entry for those who don't remember it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_Whores_Online I think that site was the cause of my internet addiction, that and Bartcop. I don't remember how I got here but it was early 2001 and I remember that there were fewer than 900 posters at that time.

17. The Horse was one of the best
They even featured and boxed some of my comments, which is how savvy and perceptive they were.

22. "Media" Whores transformed into "Media" Matters
which would be more able to go somewhat mainstream than "Whores" would be.

It seemed to fit on many levels.
