Has anyone posted this goddawful piece of crap, yet?
It's over 12 hours long, or I'd post it in LBN. It's too horrid for words:

Mrs. Bush Called Alito's Wife

In an interview today with CNN-International, Laura Bush said she reached out to Martha-Ann Bomgardner after the judge's wife left the nomination hearings on Wednesday in tears. Here is the White House transcript of the first lady's interview:

Q: There was a very dramatic moment a couple of days ago in the Supreme Court confirmation hearings, where Mrs. Alito just sort of broke down, cried, and left the room on hearing her husband being criticized.

MRS. BUSH: Do I ever feel like doing that? (Laughter.) Every once in a while.

Q Do you ever feel like crying when you hear the President being criticized, called a liar, being abused?

MRS. BUSH: Well, no, not really. But I will say I called Martha Alito yesterday to tell her to hang in there. I do think it's really important in the United States for people like Judge Alito to be treated with respect. I think it's very important for the Senate to have a very civil and respectful hearing for anyone that has been nominated for the Supreme Court or for the other jobs that require Senate confirmation.

Now, HOW BOGUS IS THIS, anway? Doesn't this seem like complete, low-life propaganda?

It must take an awful lot of serious tranquillizers to manage to be married to a rightwing a-hole - I hope Laura is in a sharing mood.

4. What a hypocritical woman Laura Bush is...
she said "personal attacks are what people don't like and what are really unwarranted". The right wing Laura and George are associated with do nothing but personally attack any and every Democrat. Bush's father and mother gave their blessings to the right wing attacks on President Clinton and Senator Clinton. Laura Bush is a liar, plain and simple. I never heard her condemning the Swift Boat Liars regarding John Kerry.

5. Has Bush ever even been called a liar? Like someone else said,
lets ask Hillary Clinton if she cried when they called her husband a liar, a rapist, and a murderer

7. I can't stand this sham...
What a crock.

Alito is being asked questions about his past and about his stance on issues.

The Republicans' strategy--obviously--is to position questions as attacks. Every time
a Democrat asks a question or wants a clarification about something important, the
Republicans whine and cry about how awful we're treating the Alito family.

Give me a frickin break.

This man will sit on the Supreme Court until he dies. Probably for decades. It's
rational, typical and expected--that he would have to answer some questions.

This is all a media ploy to make the Democrats look bad. Just because they asked some
questions.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mrs. Alito's tears were the result of a juicy onion that Laura Bush
told her to put in her pocket.

Are we really supposed to believe that these malicious, mafia-like, murdering, traitorous, fascist psychopaths are hurt--with their hearts all a flutter--because some questions were asked?

Oh please!

This is all staged and an attempt to put the focus on the "mean Democrats" and minimize the fact that Alito is a hard-line neocon fascist just like the rest of these thugs.

Laura's CNN interview was all about making us feel sorry for the Alitos. They always trod her out when they need to stir up some emotion in the ignorant lemmings who buy into this pseudo-Hallmark bullshit.

9. Only "people LIKE Alito"????
a real human being would ask that all people be treated with respect-not merely those they annoit....And there is a major difference between "asking questions" and "showing disrespect"....unfortunately the White House would be the last place to realize this....

10. Does Laura condemn the disrespect shown to Murtha by attacking
his military service simply because he expresses a dissenting view? How about the smearing of Kerry's military service? Or should this civility and respect be directed only to republicans who tow the Administration's line?

12. *snif* *snif*
Wow, it almost beings a tear to my eye just reading it. I mean, how sweet, the Lizard Queen calling up the Devil's Bride to console one-another abo how the evil are always persecuted.

It makes me sad just thinking about it, but not in that good way. Is there any way to truly change the way politics works in this country?

What a huge, steaming, pile.

13. This is bad theater. It's like the real world has taken a vacation
and we are all living in a "Stepford Wives" world.

"Hang in there". "It's real important for men like judge alito be treated respectfully".

Really. There isn't a literate person in the U.S. who doesn't know exactly what alito will do when he joins the supreme court.

16. Did you see that look of anger and hate on Mrs. Alito's face on
Edited on Sat Jan-14-06 01:23 PM by cornermouse
today's replay of Tuesday's session? Given that look and the look of fear on my daughter's face today when she heard Alito defend strip searching a 10 year old and the fact that a woman crying tends to be sucker bait, I have no sympathy for her.

17. Well Laura,
You and Martha should just hole yourselves up somewhere and cry over your ciggies and booze. Because your tender widdle feelings have naught to do with the importance of the confirmation hearings. And Laura, your husband is the 'leader' of the free world. As such, when he acts like a complete nitwit and embarrasses the United States on the world stage, people are gonna criticize him. Deal.
