I think it's almost painful to see grown men wearing cowboy hats, but I understand it's a cultural thing.

14. He dons a dusty, soiled hat during his NYC shows???
A hat that is supposed to reflect an actual working cowboys attire.

Yet at the actual working (?) New Mexico ranch show he has to have a brand, spankin new 10-gallon hat. No real working cowboy would be working in anything other than his/her well broke-in hat and boots.
