Lisa Beamer
Remember who was the FIRST 9/11 widow or family member to write a book and become a media darling? Lisa Beamer. "Let's Roll". I'm not criticizing her. I am just waiting for someone in the media to ask Satan Coulter if she considers Lisa Beamer a "harpie" and if she thinks Todd Beamer was going to divorce Lisa? I guess since she allowed Bush to use her grief as a prop at his speech to Congess, she gets a pass from Satan Coulter.

12. she tried to sue Neil Young
for his song. From Wikipedia:

Lisa Beamer has been subject to some controversy in the years since her husband's death. She has been accused of trying to profit from her husband's death after it was learned that on December 4, 2001, she applied for a trademark on the phrase "Let's Roll" and apparently attempted a civil action against Neil Young for his use of the phrase in his song. The Todd M. Beamer Foundation has since licensed the use of the phrase to Wal-Mart, the Florida State football team, and others.

In addition to the controversy surrounding the trademark registration, the public financial records of the non-profit Todd M. Beamer Foundation (now known as Heroic Choices) have come under scrutiny for taking in far more money than were delivered in services. According to Heroic Choices, from 2001 through 2004 the foundation used only 53% of its proceeds to fund its programs <5>, falling short of the Better Business Bureau's Standards for Charity Accountibility <6>, which state that program activity should account for at least 65% of charity expenses.

2. I recall her stint on Larry King
she WAS beaming - she had a most peculiar affect, neither my wife nor I believed that she was mourning for an instant. The other spouses were legit - she was, well, not, IMO....and she was on tour with her husband's best friend, no less, and she was definitely up to no good. I believe that she has disappeared into the mist.

3. I never felt good about this,
but I began to think of Lisa Beamer as an opportunist fairly soon after 9/11. I thought about it again when I saw United 93 with some parishioners. Afterwards, someone asked me who played some character. I said, "I don't know who that would have been. The only person from the whole story whose name meant anything to me was Todd Beamer, because his wife was on Larry King and places."

I really got tired of her seeking publicity and behaving as if her husband, because he was a conservative Christian, was a special loss to the world.

Again, I'm not proud of it, but I've felt this way for a long time.

was a CIA plant. They were just TOO perfect for my taste.

13. I hear ya.
Gotta admit that I read her book before I knew anything about the BFEE and LIHOP/MIHOP. What a waste of time! Silly me.

What got me was in the book she didn't seem to mourn her husband too much because he'd gone to a better place. As in it's "all good." :wtf:

Okay, maybe as an agnostic, I didn't get where the hell she was coming from with her cheery attitude, but my disbelief is because of another crucial reason. My own mother was killed instantly by a hit and run drunk driver 24 years ago and the shock, sudden loss and intense pain of that event was something I have NEVER gotten over. It changed my life FOREVER. Sure, time has help mellow the shock, the loss, the pain, but it is STILL there. And that's why I find Lisa Beamers attitude to be totally bizarre. Sure you can be comforted by thinking your loved one went to a better place. But how can anyone be able to shrug off that kind of intense shock, intense loss and intense pain so quickly???!!!

The only way I think it is in any way possible to have an attitude like Lisa Beamers' is that she ain't what and who she says she is...

14. At the time of 911, Beamer was a member of the Princeton Alliance
church, which my nutty sister-in-law is involved with. She dragged my nephews to it and they spent loads of time there. They built a new church which looks like a car dealership. It's one of those "unaffiliated" things and the minister creeped me out. My sister-in-law carres a Bible around and Jesus hangs in her kitchen (blond, blue-eyed, the standard WASP Jesus).
This whole outfit is like a cult...I often say that my brother is lost to an "invasion of the body snatchers."

6. Just like Ann Coulter???
How do you figure when the OP says: "I'm not criticizing her"?

It's a valid question and a criticism of coulter-not Beamer.

9. I just want to see someone ask Coulter on camera
if she considers Lisa Beamer a witch and a harpie.

Remember when Lisa Beamer gave birth to the baby that she was carrying on 9/11? That must have been a very emotional time for her. Yet she released a photo of her with the infant immediately after the birth. A photo of that child was on every news outlet and in eveyr newspaper. Why isn't anyone asking Coulter if she thinks Lisa Beamer used her husband's death and baby's birth to gain publicity and sell books?

5. Deena Burnett, wife of one of the passengers on Flight 93 spoke at the
Republican National Convention. Coulter criticized the Jersey girls for endorsing Kerry. I guess she forgot about Mrs. Burnett's speech.

I wonder how lisa beamer feels about anthrax's venomous comments on 9/11 widows? That would be her.

10. I'm sure Lisa and all the widows are shocked at Ann's comments.
Even Joe Scarborough said that he would speak out against the government
if he was in their situation.
