Max was on the Bill Press Show and said this:

Max Cleland: "Let me just say as someone who was on the ground in combat with the First Air Cavalry Division in the wake of the Tet Offensive, and during the siege of Khe San, and was 100 miles north of My Lai in March of 1968 when that massacre occurred there, nobody, no American, nowhere takes glee in what has happened with the Marine Corps in this massacre."
