Whats a vietnam vet to do, The little lady stopped by target on her way
home yesterday and picked me up a pair of shorts. The best fitting pair I have and guess where they were made, Vietnam. Today I feel I have come full circle.
peace

6. Not being snarky, but
it was never about viet-nam, it was never about you.
It was about money and the money to be made,
like all wars.
The vietnamese don't have any problem
about buying american, cause they probabley
understand more, that its just buisness.
Their more pragmatic, thats why they won.
Wear your shorts with pride and you'll be
the bigger man.

9. Think I'll go get some myself. It'd be good to give those people
something besides death and destruction.

10. I read somewhere that the Vietnamese are the most productive
ethnic group to ever emmigrate to America. 90 some percent employed with a large percentage owning their own business.

11. I love the Vietnamese. They're bright and hardworking (and the
women sure are terrific looking). And they're about the most polite people on the face of the planet.

Oh, and they fought like tigers. It still makes my blood boil to hear some asshole say "Ah, the ARVN wouldn't fight." Bullshit.

12. I fell in love with the people while I was there, thru it all they treated
me with more respect than I deserved. 35 plus years later I smile when I see them, I feel as if they are my friend, my long lost friends.

15. I hear they're real nice to visiting Americans. Even in the North.
Some day, maybe, I'd like to go back.

That is exactly what we are talking about. I woe my pair out also. It took a while though once they form to your feet they are the most comfortable shoes possible.

17. So today, our troops are killing and dying...
and in a few years we'll be buying oil from the religious whackjobs who will eventually kick us out of Iraq.... maybe Iran, too.

In a few years, the US will invade some as-yet-unnamed country, soldiers will die, then a few years after that, we'll buddy up with them, too.

Wasted lives on all sides.

We gotta find another way!

How about Rummy going full circle? I wonder if they threw him a bone on his recent 'Nam visit. In fact, they could go ahead and throw him all the bones of our MIAs while he's so "ready to make nice."
