Coulter is an icon because WE talk about her

I usually avoid even reading Coulter threads because to me, she's irrelevant. But WE make her relevant by making her stupid outrageousness buzz-worthy.

Certainly everyone is entitled to talk about what they want to, but when we have a dozen Coulter threads on these forums, they are only reinforcing the notion that anyone cares what she says.

2. True, but at this point the damage is done, isn't it?

Mine wouldn't be necessary if there wasn't the first dozen-plus, now would it?

3. I think this one may backfire on the Conservatives...
Those of us in Repub states need to call our Senators and Reps to see if they share
her view. If not, we should demand that they make a statement to that effect.

4. Agreed.
Every time I see another Coulter thread, I wonder why we give her the additional publicity. She loves to stir up shit and we're just helping by giving her any attention at all.

BTW, this is the ONLY "Coulter thread" I've ever responded to for exactly that reason! :D

5. Just like with a lot of things (Busby and the "papers" non-incident)...
... all republicans have to do is throw out the "idiot-meat", and Democrats (including DUers) tear each other to shreds in their frenzy to get to it.

And republicans sit there and laugh.

8. Why havent Dems turned Coulter into the image of Republicanism?
So that she and her insane, evil, hateful face is what pops into every voter's mind when they think Republican. Ignore her? Hell no. Make
hers the face & attitude of the enemy in the mind of every "undecided" voter.

10. Because The Democratic Leaders Are Losers
They could care less. Our party leadership couldn't make a ham sandwich if they had the ham and two slices of bread.

12. EXACTLY
She's trying to piss us off because her talking points consist of nothing but below-the-belt ad hominem attacks. The more we respond, the more we "prove" her points (if you can call them that) and therefore legitimize her.

Ignore her! Don't give RWs the satisfaction of responding to her attacks. She's a bully, and the best way to deal with a bully is to IGNORE.

When she questions your patriotism, spouting hateful platitudes about liberals and Democrats, just smile and ignore. That'll piss her off more than anything you could say to her. She EXPECTS a response. By not giving her one, you are denying her her satisfaction.

Please, fellow DUers. Don't give her the time of day. Then, the American people will see her as the hateful, ultra-RW hack that she is. I have faith that someday, she'll get what's coming to her. Good always prevails against evil eventually. Until then, just be patient and hold down your temper.
