Nothing Shocks Me Anymore.
I used to see that DU name here, I think it's my favorite, because I've been saying it for decades. And it's never been more appropriate than it is right now, I for one am prepared for any shock at all, 24-7-365.

The first megashock was Bush getting in like he did, and the shock of having him for a president. Shock, grief, numbness, etc.

Then the ultramegashock of 9-11, and that other worldly feeling, watching Bush ascend to super duper approval ratings, and watching our entire society morph into something scary and sinister.

The shock of two wars in the middle east, the spying, the stealing, the war profiteering, the tortures, the dead soldiers, the dead mothers and children, the dead, dead eyes of the grinning president.

Nothing shocks me anymore, I think it's more like an ongoing state of shock, and I hate to admit it.

Keep it cheery!

3. NSMA: One of DU's best.
I spoke with her recently. She seemed to be doing fine. I'm one of her biggest fans. I wish she would grace the DU again. Hi to you, devilgrrl.

2. What shocks me more than anything, is that the American
people still don't care about it all...

The headline on my Internets this morning said something about Britney Spears her Husband and male baby sitter...etc.

5. I think
a significant part of the country is in shock. For some it even borders on PTSD. But that is the first step toward facing the full implications of the disaster that is Bushco.
