12. The bu$h cabal is going to piss off enough countries that
Edited on Sat Jan-14-06 08:30 AM by RC
they will unite against us, US. It will start out as a more civilized war against us. The US having outsourced so much will have a hard time defending against switching to the Euro, outside trade shortages of the parts needed for the war machine, denying permission for US troops on foreign soil, overflights by US aircraft. Feeding us false information on operations that kill innocents. Declaring the US off limits to foreign tourists would further hurt local economies. For example Hawaii would be brought to its knees in less than a year, more than likely less than 6 months even.
We can't fight the entire world if it is united against us, US. The damage we do now is only because we have the cooperation with enough of the rest of the world. A small handful of world leaders saying "Enough already" could start the stopping of the once greatest country in the world. There are other John F. Kennedy's in other lands that can call our leaders bluff when things get bad enough.

Back to the bombing in Pakistan: This is what happens when you spend too much of your resources spying on your own people and cooking the information coming in from the outside that you need to do the job right.

16. Or someone you tortured gave you the wrong information, either to make
you stop, or to get you into such hot water it will make the torture bearable. How many times has this happened? They have done this before, several times. Killing whole families, and not getting the 'target'. I would be willing to bet their 'intelligence' is a result of torture.

Pakistani officials: Airstrike misses Al-Zawahri

Al-Qaida’s top operating officer reportedly not at site of U.S. attack

NBC News and news services
Updated: 6:06 a.m. ET Jan. 14, 2006
DAMADOLA, Pakistan - Two senior Pakistani officials told The Associated Press on Saturday that al-Qaida No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri was not at the site of the U.S. air strike near the Afghan border the previous day.

The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the subject, said that Pakistan's own investigation concluded that al-Zawahri was not in Damadola village where at least 17 people were killed in the strike early Friday.

"Their information was wrong, and our investigations conclude that they acted on a false information," said a senior intelligence official who has direct knowledge of the investigations launched by Pakistan to look into the attacks.

Separately, a senior government official told AP that al-Zawahri was not present at the homes which were attacked.

"He was not there, and this is what we know after a detailed probe" into the incident, he said.

8. This Sounds Like A Bad 60's TV Series...
The scene...General A tells General B..."well we sure got him this time"

Cut away to a bomb dropping and blowing the hell out of some small village...and the freeze-frame and the graphic "Is this the end of Al Queda?"

Well we know the answer...it's always no...but it makes great TV and, of course, we'll tune in for the next episode.

Now didn't we spend billions and give the miscommunicator-in-thief the authority and billions to revamp the intel system? Weren't all those bad, nasty and terrible intel problems from that evil Clennis supposed to be done away with by now? How could this be?

:sarcasm:

10. That's why they announced this on news dump night (Fri):
My post from last night:

Cooley Hurd (1000+ posts) Fri Jan-13-06 08:08 PM

That explains why they're coming out with this on news dump night...

1) Say you killed al-Zawahiri in time for the Friday evening news.

2) Admit you were wrong on Saturday.

3) All is forgotten on Monday.

Anyone wanna know the lottery numbers for tonight? ;)
