I may be old but all this stuff has been going on all over the place my whole life. Where has this guy been? I was in high school in the 50's and I recall what a joke it was that two men got married by the local JofP. We all thought it was really fun. I knew the man and he said well they had all the legal paper work. And for divorce, heck the Victorians did not do it either and I swear their morals were not that great. Just for fun read the old court news from before we were even a country. They had laws against sin also but some how every one was doing it.
