1. At this rate it will be 3000 by election day.
Will Rummy say "Let's hear it for WAR!" ?. Even Norah O'Donnell will be hard-pressed to dismiss 3000 dead Americans.

Just for today, I'm going burn with a white hot hate for chickenhawk Republicans in these United States of America.

3. Almost one year ago
I posted a dated page which I have never publicized (sent the URL to a couple of right-wing friends hoping to make them think) regarding, among other things, the number of American GIs killed (at that time it was 1695) in Bushco's war. I never updated the number of fatalities because I wanted to be able to quickly look back and see the change over time. It is amazing to me now that since I published that page just shy of a year ago, 785 otherwise healthy young adults who had futures, families and someday grandchildren ahead of them are now lying in graves. Of course some will say, "That is the nature of war. It has always been so." Perhaps. But as my page asks "And all for what? An illegal war started by an American president whose only claim to the office stems from election fraud!"

May all those soldiers and all the many other people who have been killed Rest In Peace. I'm sure such wish will come as little enough comfort to them, but regrettably it is all I can offer.

5. With more to come
America's pride - it's false pride - won't allow the dying to stop.
