Gotta throw in my one-star review for Mann Coulter..., June 6, 2006 Reviewer: Ronald R. Barth Jr. "batman" (Chicago, IL United States) - See all my reviews ...and wonder how it is that some people, like B. Lynch "theonewhoknows" (nothing, presumably) below, get the idea that they're intellects who are "in the know." Trying to slog my way through his/her morass of specious logic, horrendous spelling, and outright falsehoods in defense of this scrawny, skanky bitch's "book," I clicked to see what else he/she'd wrought here at Amazon. Get this: 4 stars for Neil Young's "Living with War," 5 stars for Pearl Jam's self-titled latest. Does this self-described member of the cognoscenti even understand that those are two profoundly antiwar, anti-Bush, anti-Republican works? I doubt it.

Critics prove Ann is 'Right', June 6, 2006 Reviewer: B. Lynch "the_onewhoknows" (USA) - See all my reviews Ann Coulter probably heard that there are three things you never discuss in polite conversation: sex, religion and politics. She has read Ben Franklin's works (or at least she quotes him a lot), and knows that "One man's religion is another man's belly laugh".
So, here Ann has a book that examines the "religion" of liberals, and finds that it is one obsessed with sex (especially of the perverse kind), and politics (liberals seek to impose their religious values on America via the political process). In "GODLESS", A. COulter is simply repeating what liberals say all the time among themselves, and revealing that they are everything that they accuse Christian fundamentalists of being!
1) Liberals are intolerant (the "why I hate Ann Coulter and her books" commentary here reveal that to the world).
2) Liberals have rigid belief systems and are not interested in scientific analysis of facts. A) Liberals believe that homosexuality is inherited, even though evolutionary biology and theories of natural selection indicate that this is biologically (and logically) impossible; B) Liberals believe in Al Gore's 'global warming' hysteria -- no matter that actual climate data proves he is wrong; C) Liberals believe abortion is an explicit constitutionally protected right, even though the U.S. Supreme Court called it an "emanation from a penumbra of an implied right" in the ROE v WADE decision; D) Liberals believe that stealing from people is justified if you call it a 'tax on the rich'; E) Liberals are convinced that what they regard as politically incorrect ideas should be censored and banned by the government (just read some of the liberal reviews here for confirmation); F) Liberals actively proseletyze bizzare forms of paganism which (as Patrick Buchanan noted many years back), encourages the worship of trees, seals, whales, caribou herds and spotted owls, but believes in human sacrifice (just look at how fervently liberals defend the sanctitiy of abortions) ...
I could go on at length, but it's better to read the book and get a more complete list of the rigid ideology of intolerant liberals from what Ann Coulter has researched and written ...
Like Michelle Malkin (author of Liberals unhinged) and other recent conservtive authors, Ann Coulter uses wit and humor to make some very serious points about the crack up of the so called progressives in America. She notes that liberalism is a dangerous and un-stable movement that is being run by what Frank Zappa used to call "desparate nerds in high offices".
In education, the systemic failure of government run schools under liberal command and control, now threatens the economic future of the United States. Students are being taught warmed over Marxism (the context is sex, race and sexual-preferences), and little of value.
The Public schools growing (glaring) failure has come despite huge increases in funding over the past 20 years, and the implementation of nearly every left-wing wish-list government program that was proposed. The results are obvious: most U.S. high school graduates can not do trigonometry or find anything on a map, but they know all about homosexuality, and believe that The United States has somehow caused most of the world's problems.
Educrats also teach kids that their inability to get jobs is not due to the fact that they were never taught any worthwhile job skills in public schools, but instead it's because captialists are greedy and want to only exploit people in other countries for their 'cheap labor'.
Tenured radicals now run most colleges and university academic departments, and the tenure system is being used to cement a cadre of dogmatic (mainly Marxist) professors in so-called higher education. In "GODLESS", Coulter reveals that the dogmas of educrats are the catechism of extreme leftists -- who she states are just as rigid and intolerant of dissent as the Spanish Inquisition (just read the liberal comments attacking Coulter here, for confirmation).
In the media, liberal ideas are being rejected at the polls, even as the media become more extreme and strident in their insistence that anyone who disagrees with them is in need of re-programming or some brand of sensitivity (re)-education. Think about it: almost ALL mainstream media regularly run so-called 'news reports' featuring some one calling conservative ideas "hate speech".
Liberals control most of the mainstream media, but because they have been so wrong for so long, most people who want news are looking to alternative sources for their information. As Bernard Goldberg, John Stossel and others have written: the majority of the media news is just propaganda and ideology, not facts or information. Ann Coulter says that the media ideology is consistent with an extreme set of religious view held by most people who call themselves liberals in America today.
Ann Coulter touches several raw nerves here, but her premise is solid: she presents arguments that make the case that the core beliefs and ideas of most liberals are essentially a strange religion that they are imposing on America, via its institutions.
