Is there anyone dumber than Sam Brownback?
Watched this idiot on C-Span yesterday during the debate on the marriage amendment. He was just pulling shit out of his ass. He threw up a couple of charts that you might find in a third grade debate class (and that's insulting to 3RD graders).

He was trying to make a connection between the Netherlands recognizing same sex marriage, and out of wedlock births. Now first of all, I don't think that gays and lesbians are physically, or anatomically able to contribute to out of wedlock births, that is unless Brownback took that Schwarzenegger (sp) movie where he was pregnant seriously. How gays are contributing to out of wedlock "births" is beyond me, but like they say, "God works in mysterious ways".

His entire argument were these hilarious charts where he had a bar graph showing the rate of out of wedlock births in the Netherlands and Sweden. At the point where gay marriage had it's first court hearing, the out of wedlock birth-rate started to rise. Never mind the fact that the trend was already going up, the reason for the rate increase, according to Brownback, is gay marriage.

That would be like looking at the increase in America's out of wedlock births, and showing a steady increase since 1994. Therefore, following the "wisdom" of Senator Brownback, Republican control of Congress has led to an increase in out of wedlock births.

You know, come to think of it, I bet the divorce rate has gone up since 1994. Coincidentally, that's the year Republicans gained control of Congress. Or is it a coincidence??? I think not! The increase in the divorce rate can be directly connected to the Republicans rise to power.

That's why I say; "Save Marriage, send the Republicans back home!"

Thanks Kansas!

18. Don't forget the price of gasoline
The price of gasoline has gone up since MA allowed same sex unions, therefore gay marriage is directly responsible for the rising gas prices. Or are the rising gas prices responsible for the rise in out of wedlock births? It's so confusing. I'm just thankful that Sam Brownback and Ricky Santorum are clearing all this up for us.

You know, the planet is also getting warmer. Is it just a coincidence that the planet started getting warmer, and the Supreme Court struck down Texas' anti-sodomy law? I think not. All the heat generated by "man-on-man" and "woman-on-woman" sex has caused a spike in temperature. The Iraq War really started to go to hell in a handbasket around the time that San Francisco's mayor allowed gays to be married. Gays are causing us to lose the war on terror.

Gay marriage - the reason for all of our troubles.

:sarcasm:

PS: I wish Ricky and Sam would get together and practice some mutual masturbation. Maybe then they wouldn't be in such a rush to screw America.

14. George Bush is bumber than Brownback.
And Jim Inhofe (A-OK) is absolutely worthless. He's done nothing for Oklahoma, and those dumb Republican Okies just keep putting him back in office.

Sure, don't fight for money for our roads and bridges, the fact that bridges are crumbling and killing people stuck in traffic below them means nothing. Oklahoma has some of the worst bridges in the country, and he's actually turned down Federal money in the past to get them repaired.

He needs to go away, and find something else useful to do, like selling used AMC Pacers and Gremlins, I hear there's a big market for those...
