Feingold is EXACTLY what our party needs. Please support him for the 2008 Dem Presidential nomination.

4. Good - He is strongly supporting 50-state strategy... Cool!
All that matters is that we get the majority - Nope.

Dems were in Majority in US Senate when we passed the Iraq Resolution and the USA Patriot Act.

It is not enough to be in the majority - it matters what you do when you are in the majority.

ROUGH, ROUGH PARAPHRASE: Catch-22: When you are in the Majority you are 'careful' so that you don't lose the Majority. When you aren't in the Majority you have to be 'careful' so you can get back in the Majority.

We MUST STAND on principle!

5. Let's not rock boat. That is a losing strategy! We won't win by default
I know that Bush administration has a way of keeping Dems from talking: They say that all Dems are about is bashing Bush.

Well, if they are right, then we won't win.

:wow:

But we have visionary ideas.

I remember FEMA under James Lee Witt - we had tornadoes in Wisconsin - the federal government came to help. It was wonderful, it was about people helping people.

:applause:

11. Right, all your examples are dead on
Russ is Right! Just popped in my head, sorry. He speaks well, doesn't read his speech, definitely has charisma and knows what he is talking about.

Ouch, just said he didn't like it when a national party gets involve in politics and picks the candidate, when asked about dcc and dsc. Ah, and mentioned paper trail everywhere!

10. You know some say that his Jewish background would work against him...
... But I say it could actually be used as a PLUS for him!

Consider this. Who might be better able to help negotiate peace settlements between Israel and Palestinians and other Arab states than someone that shares the same religious beliefs of the side of the Israelis, and shares the concerns of keeping us out of places like Iraq and supporting Muslims' civil liberties here, etc. for the other side. I think he could be an enormous help to the Middle East peace process if put in a position of power!

Now someone like Liebermann who is Jewish and a tool of the AIPAC and other corporate interests is another story. He wouldn't have much luck walking in the door of many Arab communities.

He proved he could separate his religion from politics, what an idea!

14. Doesn't matter a whit to me what his inspiration is,
who he wakes up with, or when. This is an honest man that I would be proud to know, first hand. I think John Edwards is a good man, with his heart in the right place, but I can't seem to get past the sense that he is a perennial lightweight. Wes Clark is terriffic, Hillary sucks, the rest are too triangulating and too in love with their own mirrors.

BUT...Feingold rocks and is inspiring as well as awe inspiring.

I wrote him many moons ago-as I suddenly "discovered" him- and told him, should he choose ever to run for president, to the limit of my capabilities, he could depend on my unwavering support. Guess maybe he's gonna call me on it!"
