Just saw an Inconvenient Truth, and all I can say is WOW!
Al Gore is working to try and protect our planet

I know the MSM, XOM, and others are trying to ridicule the message, but if enough people see it, maybe there is still a chance

However, the cynic tells me until more and more people are directly affected by the CONSEQUENCES of their actions nothing will happen

I only hope it won't be too late

1. "Hi, I'm Al Gore,
and I was suppposed to be the next president of the United States." I'm glad he can poke fun of himself.

When I saw it, there was a standing ovation at the end. Full house.

4. There was applause, and it was 75% full
I hope some of the non-believers see it

I know a lot of his enemies will try to debunk it, but facts are facts

It is unfortunate that the MSM is so incompentent right now. They helped perpetuate the LIE that he said he invented the internet, which he never did. WHAT HE DID DO WAS in an economic and legislative sense, encourage the development of the technology that we know as the Internet. DAMN THE MSM!!!

10. The best they have come up with is "CO2, we call it life".
The science is winning.

2. Well, I hope the recent hurricanes and insanely
violent and frequent tornadoes(not to mention heat waves and drought here and unusual flooding elsewhere) will start waking people up. My freshman students are MUCH more aware of global warming and believe it much more readily and thoroughly than I did at their age approximately 10 years ago. In fact, each semester I have several students who write about global warming in their papers and make advocacy posters about the issue (I leave topics up to them, mostly--the only thing I really "dictate" to them is the TYPE of argument they have to write--e.g., causal, proposal, resemblance, etc). That's a modestly hopeful sign to me. I just hope it isn't too late.

I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. I hope to see it soon too.

5. If that doesn't, maybe the insurance companies NOT wanting
to offer hurricane insure should definitely wake them up

I think you will enjoy the movie, and I do believe Al Gore has rediscovered himself, and his mission

3. It's coming to Ontario, California on June 16.
I don't have gas money to drive to where it's showing and have to wait until it comes to me.

6. Coming to Detroit 6/9
and I cannot wait to see it... What bothers me is that it is only playing at one "art" theatre - why isn't it being shown at the major theatres like AMC and Star, etc?

7. Main or Maple?
I've asked the kids there and no one seems to know yet. I'd like to buy advance tix.

It may be just a rumor but I've heard Memphis Smoke is thinking about buying all the tickets if it's at the Main and having a "smoke-in." Again, that's just a rumor, but if it's true I will be so mad.

I like the place so if the rumor is unfounded, all apologies to the proprietors. Just what I heard.
