A Short, Open Letter to Mr. Al Gore

Mr. Gore,

I am sitting here at work going through the same grinding routine of getting my job done and going home to see my family. Today is different, I felt compelled to read some of your works and watch some of your speeches. The fact is, the nation and it's leaders took you for granted in 2000. So what made me come to this conclusion? Just one line from your "An Inconvenient Truth" Ad. You said "Don't you think there are other threats other than terrorism?".

It seems simple enough, but to me every single one of our nation's problems can be solved with your logical and precise thinking. With the current rip-off president in office, you are making yourself look more and more fit for the job each day, even two years out from election time. You see Mr. Gore, I do not think Americans are ready for your style of leadership, but this and a majority of these Americans on Democratic Underground are.

If you find yourself on this website at the right time, please take the time to feel the desparity in America. We need someone like you to guide us and the world in this time of uneasy peril. Mr. Bush has failed us on so many scales and levels, many in the worldwide community have lost their hope and patience with America, but I think you can soothe this problem with decency and tact.

Mr. Gore, you work for America and not for your pocket. I respect and would be proud to salute the flag again if you were my president.

Mr. Gore is better for losing, in my opinion. He went to his cave, licked his wounds, and is ready to kick ass. I hope he gets a strong base to stand on this Presidential Election.

President Gore, just in case you are listening/reading please be aware that this country needs you like we've never needed anyone else before. We need a true JFK style leader who will set this nation on it's ear and get us in the direction of repairing all the ills that have been done in our country's name. Please, if you truly want to serve America PLEASE run for the Presidency in 08. Thank you.
