you know we have been warning Canadians to guard themselves

from the bushmilhousegang virus.

they seemed not to have listened as their govt. is trying very hard to catch up to the bushmilhousegang's destruction of the united states record.

other countries around the world are guarding themselves but not Canada. jeez, who da thought

1. well...I still have hope for my country (for now)
1.Libs still have to have their leadership convention..
2.we vote on paper ballots with a pencil, and hand count.
3.Progressives have two parties here Libs and NDP (although NDP'ers don't think
Libs are true Libs<--sound familiar, lol)
4.There is a general sense of tolerance that still exists in our society,
and if they, the cons, cross that line, we'll wipe their party out AGAIN.

:) hey that's just my opinion, lol

2. God, I hope so...
May have to avail myself of Canada's sanctuary laws some day (you do still have those, don't you?)

5. the day I start to "freak out" is if I ever hear
that Canada will use electronic voting machines.

I think many Canadians have caught onto the scam
aspect of these type of machines. The reason I say that is:

In 2000 when the Gore/Bush re-count (ha, like right)..was
taking place...Mom and I were watching TV and both of us were
shocked at this whole hanging-chad thing - of course trying to
be a problem solver, I blurted out, "mom, you know what, they
should computerize voting" (*slaps own face now*)..Mom, harps
back ..."NO! that's something that can be tampered with" -- I said,
Mom, you're right!. Now Mom doesn't really follow politics like I
do, but she was quick enough to see the potential dangers of such
machines. Anyway, I digress, so long as we can vote the way we do,
pencil, paper, hand count, I'm ok. *whew*

3. Isn't there a chance Harper will lose a no confidence vote?
Couldn't that happen soon?
Have they already passed a budget?
I'm having a hard enough time following US events...

4. They've passed a budget
the major blocking point to a no confidence vote right now,
imho, is that the liberals are in the process of electing a new
leader...that's what I'm thinking anyway...they don't want a vote
right now..they're ducks aren't in a row.
