They are Google AdSense Ads. skinner, elad, and gang are trying them out in the hopes to not have to press us donors for even more money as expenses rise. they are attempting to weed out the unsatisfactory ads for this website, but it is taking some time. Calm down, it's okay, we didn't go over to the Dark Side, and neither did Skinner, Elad, or Earl G.

I know, because I use Google ads on my own web site.

It's a music site, and I was apalled when I got ads for $800 concert tickets--I have personal relationships with the record labels, so let's just say they wouldn't have made me look good ("Hmm, is she getting a kickback?"). If you want an ad blocked, you have to send in its URL. But you have to send them one at a time. They'll be gone eventually.

Google charges per click. If enough of us click, then Google becomes richer and these Right Wing nuts become poorer!

I go out of my way to click them. It's like squishing bugs. It's great for releasing frustration!

Just this morning I saw an ad for the Labor Party in Antigua :wtf:

Another time it was the "Young Communist Party".

And yes, the occasional wingnut ad. I just ignore 'em, they never stay long.
