America is not prepared for the coming disasters.
I'm not even counting hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, or comet impacts, I'm talking about our complete economic collapse and future terror attacks.

We are not ready, and we'd better start making some sort of contingency plans.

1. If we hope for "truly workable disaster plans" we've got to get...........
.....rid of that pile of crap in the WH. Where's Hinkley when we need him anyway??

7. Oh, no...God forbid! Long life and good health to the chimp
I want him to live a loooong life, like Herbert Hoover, and understand every day of his life that he's the most detested and reviled person in the world (if he's capable of understanding anything!) If he should die in office, the Repuke sculptors would instantly gather at Mount Rushmore with dynamite, chisels, and jackhammers to transform Thomas Jefferson's face into B*shit's. He'd be on coins and stamps, and buildings, bridges, streets, and airports would be named for him. Texas would probably change its name to Bushass.

8. Idiot Boy DOESN'T CARE that he's hated and reviled - we need..............
.....to understand that before we can get anything done about or with that evil crap. He truly does NOT care what anyone thinks of him or his policies. Bush is just not like most people, he doesn't give a crap who likes him, who gets hurt, he just doesn't care. That evil mental case will forever feel justified in whatever he does because he is just that delusional. When and if every American gets that message through their head, then and only then will we be prepared to truly fight that pile of crap because then we will pull out all the nice little stops.

13. As long as Idiot Boy has a pile of money to sit on, money that he
didn't earn and doesn't deserve, money "made" in the worst and most vilest of ways, I might add, you're right, he doesn't give a crap what anyone thinks of him. The only thing that would send him over the edge is for him to be stripped of all his ill gotten gains and be made to live like those he has the greatest disdain for, the poor.

12. Watch for the Kitsch makers to go into overdrive, either way
The store in Crawford will be filled with little boosh figurines, boosh ashtrays, boosh shot glasses (how appropriate), souvenier boosh forks, boosh codpieces (with the Presidential Seal), pre-developed slides of Your Visit to All Things Boosh to be shared with your neighbors, boosh paperweights, those little things with snow in them that you shake with a figure of boosh in the middle, and the inevitable "boosh ascending to heaven" black velvet painting.

In my shop, I intend to carry only the boosh urinal cake holder and boosh toilet bowl brush.

2. I agree. Any ideas?
Seems to me we need to start local and build from there.

3. From a historical perspective, societies rarely, if ever, make contingency
plans.

Human organizations seems to rely largely on what I call the 'idiot light' model. You know those lights on your car that only come on once the problem has already gone critical? Those are known as 'idiot lights'. Historically, societies wait for a problem to go critical before actually trying to do anything about it. Why? Well, it seems there are always a very vocal group of naysayers who convince the masses that there is no problem at all. Hence the problem is ignored and mocked until it manifests in epic proportions, at which point it's too late to do anything about it.

As Kurt Vonnegut said: "Just because we can read and write and do some math, that doesn't make us the Master of the Universe."

11. Building cities in fault zones and around volcanoes.
We all know these cities will crumble, and we know hurricanes will come.

But our whole infrastructure could easily collapse with another attack or disaster stacked up in a row.

4. It is up to you to take care of yourself
Don't sit around expecting the government to do anything. They won't.

Once people accept that BushCo will do nothing, then maybe we can get on with things and save ourselves.

Stay aware, alert and awake.
