Axis of Feeble?

That was the damning headline on the front page of The Economist magazine a couple of weeks ago on George Bush and Tony Blair.

Now the two rather damaged leaders are meeting in Washington amid some honesty about the failures in Iraq.

The Prime Minister has been discussing the strengthening of international institutions.

Do Bush and Blair sink or swim together? What is their historical legacy? Are they both past their sell by date?

Is the problem - as explained to me recently by a distinguished Washington journalist - that when either man appears on the TV, a large proportion of the audience simply wants to turn off?

We'll have a report from Washington. But please don't do as the journalist says - it's just a metaphor.

3. Swamp, tried to put that phrase in the post title, but no room
No kidding about Bush being feeble. And if the British don't get rid of Blair quickly, they must be feeble too.

4. Didn't you just love that graph?
As the Dixies' popularity rises, Bush's plummets.

5. Axis of Weebles
Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down. Like those two. Some days I think we'll never see the end of them. Fuckup after fuckup, and those walking calamities are still indulged as "leaders."
