My email to Senator Feinstein
I awoke this morning to read that General Hayden had been confirmed, and to discover that one of my Senators had voted to confirm him. I had to write her to express my disappointment. I thought I would share it. I think we should all let these people know how we feel about this.

"Today is a sad day for me. I have often had reason to be proud of both my Senators as they've taken principled stands against those with contempt for the values, traditions and institutions that make this country great. But not today.

By voting to confirm General Hayden as CIA director, you've put your support behind the last man on earth who belongs in that position. You've given your blessing to those who work tirelessly to destroy our way of life.

General Hayden is the architect of Bush's domestic spying program. He is a man who doesn't let his shocking ignorance of the simple wording of the 4th Amendment get in the way of lecturing others about the importance of the 4th Amendment. He epitomizes the arrogant ignorance of the Bush Administration. He's a fool who has no respect for our most cherished American values. He's someone who eagerly seeks to replace those values with some other set of values. And you just voted to confirm him as CIA director.

So I'm writing you to express my disappointment, and to let you know you have forever lost my support, my vote, and my respect."

2. great letter...
I called her and wrote her email too...

it sux I'm in GA or else my letter would have more weight....
your letter was succinct and got straight to the point....

we should organize more CA folks to write her letters... she is a sellout worse than hillary now.. and has lost all chance of being a VP candidate, something I strongly believed she'd be good for if she grew a backbone..

chock another democrat up for the spineless jellyfish club....

3. She's my Senator...
Every stinking time I write her a letter she responds with a pre-scripted reply. Like bulk mail...

She sickens me. I've called her, written her...

She is USELESS.

7. The politicos really don't give a rats ass what WE think.
THEY are in charge. They don't work for us anymore. We may pay them, but that's as far as it goes. They all work for themselves (with a few exceptions like Kucinich, Conyers and Feingold) and couldn't care less what we want or think.

8. it does indeed suck -
Senators vote on issues that affect ALL Americans; they should listen to ALL Americans. Before I contact an out of state Senator or Rep, I look up the zip code of one of their in-state offices at www.vote-smart.org/.

I'm fed up w/ Feintein. I should not have to call her office on issues like hayden FCS! He was the cheer leader for trampling the 4th Amendment. I voted for Fernald on my vote by mail ballot.

10. Well, obviously she doesn't have to worry about your vote
because you're in Georgia. But Senators are national figures and if they have any aspirations beyond being a Senator (President or VP, or even a cabinet position), they have to think beyond the borders of their own state.

4. Feinstein makes me sick!

I did not vote for her again. I wrote in Cindy Sheehan. I hope others follow suit. She is a huge disappointment to me. She voted for the war, she votes to give more money to feed the war machine, she votes for people like Hayden. She is married to a rat named BLUM. He is a *co shill and Dianne is not far behind IMO.

I hope she loses her Senate seat. She is a Republican of the worst sort that only wears the clothing of a Democrat. She is a faux piece o'crap in my book.

Sorry Dianne, you've pushed ME too damn far. Never again, never will I vote for you. NEVER.

And oh yeah, btw, Dianne Feinstein is NOT from San Francisco. She was not elected mayor! She got the job on the coat tails of a dead man - Mayor Moscone being she was the chair of the Board of Supervisors in San Francisco at that time! I will not forget! It angers me when I hear her referred to as "Dianne Feinstein from San Francisco". She is everything that a true San Franciscan is NOT, believe me on that one! :grr:

5. I emailed her the day of her committee vote
and told her exactly the same thing. I will not be voting for her in the primary. As for the general election, If she passes the primary I will either leave it blank or vote independent or something. I will not vote for a republican.

9. My senator Shill Nelson (FL) got an earful from me
I will hear nothing back from him, never do. I guess he doesn't like it when people refuse to stroke his little ego. He belongs in the Puke party like his buddies Joementum and MBideNA
