So why aren't the Dems standing up and asking to end NAFTA and
all other similar trade bills? Why not just say that this was not the best bill in the interest of the American worker or bring it up and call for revision? Are we saddled with this albatross? I couldn't believe it when that passed, and that the unions were snookered into supporting it back then.

1. What do they know that we do not?
And why don't more of us ask "I want in, what need I do?"

2. It passed on Clinton's watch
The DLC and the GOP are very much in favor of NAFTA, it is a big corporation friendly bill. The Dem Leadership would never say a bad word about it.

5. It's a great idea! And, one that would get the American people
firmly on the side of the dems.

This was a bad move by Clinton. But, he did so much else that was good.

6. Hell, several of them...
crossed the aisle to vote for CAFTA, even after knowing what NAFTA did.
