16. Any congressman/woman mention of NSA Op Firstfruits ?
Edited on Thu May-18-06 01:17 PM by EVDebs
Maybe newspeople could slip a piece of paper in front of a Dem senator on the sly while the cameras are off...

In this atmosphere a whistleblower has to be almost suicidal careerwise to speak out about illegal activity. Russell Tice, I heard, has been labelled a psycho by the NSA's drs. Maybe they'll look into others in the DOD and Bush administration. One can only dream.

18. info from DKOS
While doing research on a post discussing the recent speech by Vice-President Al Gore, I discovered a webpage/blog called MediaChannel.org which described a secret NSA program called FirstFruits whose aim is even more dark and heinous than anything previously discussed concerning the current scandal of performing warrantless surveillance of partially domestic al-Qaeda communications

The allegation was that the NSA has been spying for some time on their own employees. People who resisted going along with the "party-line" of the administration.

Let that sink in for a second.

Just wait, it gets worse after the flip.

23. Sure, they came in knowing just how they did it to Clinton
and they were going to be damned if they were going to let it happen to them. Makes perfect sense to me that they would begin from day one to "curb leaks and know who was in the room".

Paranoid and corrupt sums it up for me.

19. The NSA's pre-9/11 spying program internally and toward journalists
Edited on Thu May-18-06 01:33 PM by EVDebs
to prevent leaks, supposedly, but to suppress any internal outing of illegal activity that could reach the press. Google it, you'll see very little mention. Wayne Madsen's report on it is good.

http://forum.truthout.org/blog/story/2005/12/29/74957/493

Obviously the target of this program wasn't the NSA employees but the journalists, and suppression of illegal activity. Being pre 9-11 is also important since it corroborates Greg Palast's 'Khan Job' article's mention of another pre 9-11 NSA 'policy shift':

"".. A top-level CIA operative who spoke with us on condition of strictest anonymity said that, after Bush took office, "There was a major policy shift" at the National Security Agency. Investigators were ordered to "back off " from any inquiries into Saudi Arabian financing of terror networks, especially if they touched on Saudi royals and their retainers. That put the Bin Ladens, a family worth a reported $12 billion and a virtual arm of the Saudi royal household, off limits for investigation. Osama was the exception; he remained a wanted man, but agents could not look too closely at how he filled his piggy bank. The key rule of any investigation, "follow the money," was now violated, and investigations-at least before September 11-began to die. ""

from 'Khan Job'
www.gregpalast.com/detail.cfm?artid=312&row=0

I wish I knew how to do 'highlighting' of text, but you can see the two 'policy shifts' being pre-9/11 show me a 'smoking gun' of foreknowledge of 9-11 activity of some kind. If it all went horribly wrong, then this guy Hayden is entirely the WRONG MAN for the position.

Check into Ptech (now GoAgile), which is still working for the WhiteHouse and DOD. Whistleblower Indira Singh has spoken out about this to no avail.

Closed session, anyone ? I wonder why. And this article from a conservative site..

Dollars of terror
http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=17730

""Ptech is used primarily to develop enterprise blueprints at the highest level of US government and corporate infrastructure. These blueprints hold every important functional, operational, and technical detail of the enterprise. A secondary use of this powerful tool is to build other smart tools in a short period of time. Ptech’s clients in 2001 included the Department of Justice, the Department of Energy, Customs, Air Force, the White House, the FAA, IBM, Sysco, Aetna, and Motorola, to name just a few. ""

Hmmm. FAA, and 9-11 wargames like Vigilant Guardian, Vigilant Warrior, Northern Guardian, Northern Warrior, Tripod II, and that CIA 'plane into building' exercise. Go figure.

Wayne Madsen? Isn't there some question about his stories? That sounds pretty scary, but if Madsen is the original source of the story, it'll be hard to justify bringing it up at a Congressional hearing...

46. May be a connection
Oh, yeah, I'm not saying it's wrong. Sound exactly like what they'd do. It's just that it needs a different source to break out into the MSM, hearings, etc. There's a lot of suspicious things about this adm., from the elections to the Bin Laden connections. That NSA "policy shift" could be because they were planning something (as you suggest), or maybe just because of the Bush Adm.'s general obsession w/secrecy in all matters. It's definitely interesting, though.

Should we blame the government, or blame society,
or should we blame the images on tv? No!
Blame Canada! Blame Canada
With all their beady little eyes,
their flapping heads so full of lies
It seems that everything's gone wrong
since Canada came along
Blame Canada! Blame Canada!
They're not even a real country anyway.
We must blame them and cause a fuss
