Harvard: Chimp-human link more recent than thought. This is not a joke.

Harvard researchers have found that human and chimp ancestors shared a common link much more recently than previously thought.

They believe our ancestors parted ways about 6.3 million years ago and that some of their descendants may even have gone back for a final tryst (what we today call a quickie). The story in the paper is fairly short and worth reading.

Now without getting too snarky here, the earth is supposedly about 13 billion years old which would make 6.3 million years a very short time. How do we know some humans and chimps didn't go back for quickies more recently?

Okay, so you know where this is going, but it sure would explain a lot. In addition to which, if you had a choice between Babs and a chimp ... oh, never mind. You get it.
