when they added the statue to the VietNam memorial, Ronnie spoke about sundown or so. I did not want to go deal with all the BS during the day, so I went when I usually go, late at night. Sometimes I stay there all night BSing with vets.

Anyway, its about 0130 or so and there are a line of people there.
WTF is this, I ask.
A line to piss where Ronnie stood, I am informed.
Well, sure, hell count me in.
20 minutes on line passing joints and bottles back and forth got me to the front, which was now a very soaked patch of ground, swampy with hot piss, oh, probably 30 feet across by then.
I gladly added mine.
Grass did not grow there for a long time.

9. Halliburton Stock

When Cheney became Vice President, I looked into purchasing Haliburton
stock, and found it to be very low priced. About 4.50 per share but they had
this asbestos lawsuit going against them so I decided "better safe than sorry".
Because I'm not wealthy, I could not afford to speculate, so I did not invest.
This was five years ago and the stock was selling at about $4.50 per share.
Today it closed at $73.76 per share.

I have no regrets because it's dirty money but Cheney did very well with his stock and his war profiteering buddies have made a killing. Literally. It just makes me so sick.
