Poll question: The RW neocons got to this point because they abandoned their party
when members of it pissed them off?

1. So we should use those kinds of tactics?
Stealing elections? Lying, murdering, manipulating, cheating....

I get your point, but I don't think this is the best example.

11. Umm, you know damn well that's not what I'm suggesting
The movement came from withIN the party. Like it or not, this country is set up to be a TWO-party system. All the wishing in the world won't change that.

2. You ever heard the old Will Rogers quote?
'I belong to no organised political party. I am a Democrat.'

3. 1992
Yes, their party abandoned them, so they stayed home in droves in 1992.

Clinton was elected as a direct result of this tactic by the right wing.

9. Yes, let's all stay home for the next four years
That'll teach them!

The GOP could use four, eight more years at the helm because they've been such a remarkable boon to the poor and middle class.

13. Showing up at the polls has done nothing to this point, so your point is
moot.

4. Absolutely
The republicans have long since forgotten their true party. Abe Lincoln rolls in his grave. Amazing to watch the liberals become conservatives and the conservatives become radicals. Such a liberal idea, indeed, to want to protect our Constitution. They paint us as so far left, they have no clue how radically right (Wrong) they've become. No wonder the country is so confused.

10. Ding! Ding! Ding!
You get a cookie. My point exactly. Why can't the progressives do the same withIN the Dem Party? Oh, but then we would have to compromise and MY feelings and liberal purity mean more than the fate of this country.

12. And the guys who signed up just to "keep more of their money"
are stuck--they've gotten used to that extra cash, and won't make any sacrifices. Of course, they'll pay, one way or another, when the heat bill comes in, at the pump, for local services...

By the time they figure it out, it's too late....
