poor in amarillo.... getting bad here
Edited on Wed May-17-06 05:18 PM by seabeyond
convenient store up the street, i have already given people money on occasion, especially recently, to finish up tab, a buck, or the other morning guy needed some gas to get to work.... i felt happy i was there on that one. but today.....

i was sittin while son went in to get a candy. a man asked for money to get to a small town an hour away. now we also have a group that goes from business to business running scams. my mom, daughter, sister, niece are in the hosital and i need gas money. the first time i was totally scammed. the second time i was hesitant, but thought what the hell, he was nice enough. last time the man was aggressive and threatening, and i came to conclusion was a scam and pissed me off

this is what this man felt like and i think i recognized him from past, so i shood him away, said i had no money

30 secs later another man goes to the window of his car, and he drives away. as he walked by i asked, what did you say to the man...... thinking he was telling the guy to get out of there.

he says..... i ran out of gas and only have 44 cents. i asked if he had at least 50 cents that would help me out

i bust up laughing and say, he was asking me for money

so, one trying to get money from another trying to get money

well this guy obviously was tryin to get some gas to get home, so i dug up a one dollar bill and some quarters to help him out. he got like just over a gallon of gas

nope,.... people arent hurting, oh no.....

bullshit

2. That's terrible--my hope is that these aren't people that voted *
if they did, I hope they now know they are voting against their interests...

But setting that politics aside, that's awful. I feel so bad that people are in such dire straights--with gas prices, mortgage interest rates on the rise, downsizing, outsourcing, etc., etc., :(

4. Wanna know how bad it's getting here?
I have a police scanner. Picks up everything in a wide area. I hear a lot.

The number of attempted suicides is going way up. Been hearing the calls a hell of a lot.

That is how bad it is getting in my rural section of the northeast.

6. Some people in MA are barely making it.
Electric, Natural Gas, etc. have doubled. We certainly need to get rid of these greedy bastids soon or we will all be going to Mexico to do the jobs that they won't do. I'm not joking.
