When the Pentagon released the 9/11 video yesterday, they said they hoped it would put an end to talks about conspiracies. The effect, however, was the exact opposite. Here on DU and everywhere online, the message boards were flooded with talk of conspiracies. Now, honestly, incompetent as our leadership is, I still think that they foresaw that. So while they had everyone talking about 9/11, what were they trying to distract us from? Maybe to overshadow the fact that, on the same day, they released a list of the names of all the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay? Or maybe both of those were released to take attention away from NSA surveilance? Iran is another possibility...
