Well, of course, Dobbs is going to say this is an important speech ... it is about his latest signature issue. He is in the news/entertainment business after all.

But, I've been listening to Dobbs for the last few months and I think that on the whole he is correct. The Bush regime is waging war on middle class and working class America.

Illegal immigrants do get exploited by immoral, unethical and unscrupulous U.S. employers that pay substandard wages, no benefits, no workers comp, etc.

I'm middle class, I don't understand this "knee-jerk" liberal reaction against progressives who care about our jobs, our children's future, the sustainability of our environment and the security of our borders?

Frankly, I want many of these illegal immigrants to stay in Mexico and overthrow their corrupt, corporatist government. Why shouldn't they be able to live in the land of their birth, enjoy their own wonderful history and culture ... instead of being forced to leave their own homes because of the selfish plutocracy running Mexico?

So, hey, don't get down on Lou ... he is talking to middle America, and if progressives and, yes, even Democrats, are going to ever get back into power, they better pay attention to what Dobbs is saying.
