who was the last outright LIBERAL scotus nominee?
i mean, the last person who basically went up to the hill and said, "yeah, damn straight i'm a liberal! what ya gonna do about it?"

'cause personally i'm SICK AND TIRED out out-and-out conservative nominees.

4. Thurgood Marshall, maybe. Appointed by LBJ in 1967.
It's been a loooooong time. There's Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but she tried to downplay the liberal thing because by that time "liberal" was a dirty word.

8. I'd say Thurgood Marshall was the last real liberal nominated. Yep.
Some Justices have slowly moved to the left as they've learned and grown.
