New reports on the growing strength of the Taliban? Copter down? Poppies seem to still be the main cash crop?

I don't think that one is going to go away, either. Probably the radicals in Afghanistan and the ones in Iraq are all working together now.

And Iran seems to be jumping right into the mix.

Oh and Turkey is firing on the Kurds. (Why does everyone seem to hate the Kurds? They seem like the only sane ones over there.)

Probably not a good time to take a vacation in the Middle East. Sounds a little unsettled at the moment. Kind of like its been for the last 5,000 years.
