1. Hey maybe the solution is
put them in jail like the rest of the addicts, let them know how it really is

3. Why the attitude toward Kennedy? He's not a hypocrite like Rush.
He's a man with terrible genes (substance abuse from both parents, bipolar disease from his mother) who is struggling with a lifelong illness. And who has made treament parity for people with mental illness a major focus.

And who actually, this time, might have done just what he said he did. Ambien can get people into trouble. I saw it in my own family, so I don't care how rare the pharm. drug pushers say that complications are. They're real.

4. CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta said that Kennedy's claim is consistent with ...
... similar behavior in other Ambien users. He said the number of reported incidents wasn't high, but the similarities were striking.

Gupta interviewed a man shown in silhouette whose experience sounded a lot like Kennedy's.

5. I can believe it, because of a relative's experience. It causes behavior
like sleepwalking, only worse. People under the influence of Ambien can walk, talk, operate machinery -- all without conscious volition and no memory the next day. Scary!

2. What about Dick Cheney?
Geez, if we're going to skewer our own, at least make a real political point. Didn't Duck Cheney get the biggest pass of all? Why don't we drag that one back out to show the real hypocrisy.
