Then, they laugh at Colbert.

He wasn't funny. He bombed. No one was laughing. It was pathetic.

Then, they fight Colbert.

He went over the line. It was inappropriate. He was rude and disrespectful.

Then, Colbert wins.

Everyone scours the internet looking for the video footage to see what the hubbub was all about. Millions of people get a chance to see awful truthiness shotgun-blasted right into Bush's and the media's faces.

I think that Gandhi dude was on to something.

23. I just Skyped my friend in London about Colbert

She said that the British press had shown the Bush vs. Bush bit which she didn't find funny at all and wondered why BBC was even showing it. I explained about the Colbert crisis and send her links to it.

So, someone who is now out of the political fray living in London, but an American who lived here until a year ago, found the Bush bit "stupid," "not funny at all," and "wondered why the BBC was showing it."

Hmmmmm.....

I'll get her take on Colbert's performance and let you know her unbiased reaction.
