2. Al Franken asked General Clark is it possible we might
need someone like you to run who didn't vote for the war. I know you can't say if you'll run in 2008.

Wow! Cool!

5. Al Franken did a very good interview and is clearly
interested in Wes being the Democratic nominee in 08.

Yay.

:applause:

6. Ah man ...
Wes just rocks ...

Counters to the opposite on just the right issues ... This whole thing about people just getting along, all the whining and moaning about "partisanship" and Wes hits the nail on the head - we WANT dialog ...

Also, it was VERY revealing when he started talking about the south ... Having grown up in the south, he knows the subtleties of it ... For example, the point he made where they knew they were doing something wrong when he was growing up, but were resentful when people point it out ... Also, that people get resentful about the "prestige" of people's education ...

Being someone from PA, I simply thought of John Kerry as a decent, intelligent, capable person ... He wasn't talking about kerry in specific, but for the first time I REALLY got why a guy like him can't win down there at this point ...

He talked about how important it was to contest EVERY seat ... He countered on a discussion about the military ... Al was going with a more standard line of thinking in relation to the number of troops coming back to run, that it was an indictment of the current admin - wes made it about how in reality that the military is really a democratic institution, that has a value in education, togetherness and diversity - a VERY strong point ...

Wes is the package ... Flat out ...

7. Yea, Pure Wes came through very clearly.
I was also struck by the comments about the people in the south being resentful. That was interesting and eye opening.

His experience and brilliance and charisma are just the right combination.
