Ecclestone sells Formula 1 rights
Private equity group CVC Capital Partners has completed its takeover of Formula One's commercial rights.

CVC's Donald Mackenzie said the company was now looking forward to working with Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone "to further develop and grow the business".

The European Commission gave the green light to the deal last week, saying it would not significantly impede effective competition.

CVC will run Formula One through new subsidiary Alpha Prema UK.

But Bernie will still run it.

1. If Bernie's in charge - send the US Grand Prix to Las Vegas...
We really don't want them back here in Speedway, if they're going to let him continue to screw the fans like he did at last year's F-1.
Angry fans trashing out our town again? No thanks - move the thing to Las Vegas and ask Tony George not to renew the contract...
No amount of revenue is worth the black eye he gave that sport in the US...
