GD is one of the main forums that will be the first to rudely remind someone asking for information, how they should be 'better informed' because of something so arbitrary and random as post count. Yet, the same people may be 'informed' but they don't seem to actually no what any of the information MEANS, particulary as info. relates to 'social issues' (i.e. women's rights and feminism, glbt rights, racism and bigotry, etc.).

It's honestly sometimes laughable, if it wasn't so damned sad and irritating. Don't type rude replys when I ask a question about something I may have missed, when you can't even be bothered to understand a social issue that doesn't directly affect you.

I entered the thread with every intention of backing you guys up, sadly I got distracted by the ridiculous off shoots the discussion took. :banghead: Sorry, I didn't help you guys out, but you were all doing a great job from what I saw.

All the back and forth those things take gets frustrating and confusing. Makes you forget what the original point was. So I bailed.

4. I did really veer off topic, as so often happens

The article was about how women are buying into pornographic imagery, not so much about porn itself or the adult entertainment industry. There were some references to it but it was definitely not the main topic of the article. It was about "regular women" and how it affects us. Yet somehow the thread devolved into porn and women "choosing" ( :eyes: )to be in the sex industry in various forms. Then it devolved into this aggravating need to defend against Free Speech strawmen. I'm SOOOO tired of that! I second your :banghead:
