I saw two posts in LBN calling Condoleezza Rice a Bitch.

I didn't read the thread... I wanted to post replies pointing out that it was discouraged, but I felt like I was acting like a "babe with her head up her ass" so I didn't. Now I feel like a coward.

I'm sick to death of of seeing / hearing that word.

It is only recently that I've become aware of how many feel about this word, myself. So please just don't hesitate to point out its offensiveness. There are those who will react negatively, of course, but a few will take it to heart.

9. Random thoughts: I don't like Rice. Calling her a bitch serves no purpose.

I think she's a neat, well put together dresser. I want her jailed along side Bush. She's a liar and cheat. She's unethical and corrupt.

10. After the 'bitch' wars

on DU, I saw a change in the tone on DU. The threads were painful and it sure seemed like few on DU agreed that bitch is offensive but most quit using the term.

I'm not always ready to post about how I find it offensive, but when we do many start to understand. I get tired of the fights but I think folks that don't even post see it and start to get it.
