My diet OFFICIALLY starts today
I have about 15 pounds to lose and I'm going to track my calories on sparkpeople.com using the calorie zig-zagging recommendations from freedieting.com/tools.

I've been working out pretty faithfully for about a month but haven't seen any change in my weight so I'm hoping that this finally changes things up. :) Also trying to cut down on diet soda and up my water intake..

8. I'm basically changing up my calories
so that a week would look like:
Monday-1329
Tuesday-1200
Wednesday-1595
Friday-1200
Saturday-1462
Sunday-1329

and I got those numbers from here: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm

For the food, I'm basically choosing things that I like to eat but I'm vegetarian and I think cheese is a problem food for me, so I'm trying to cut down/cut out dairy.

Sounds like you're on the right track!!

Everyone here is so wonderful, supportive and informed. Enjoy!

Because you're putting on muscle, which weighs more than fat, you may not notice a difference in your weight as much as how your clothes fit. Are they fitting differently?

My clothes fit pretty much the same..but I feel a bit firmer..so doing good. :) So far so good on the diet, I'm being wayyy less structured than I originally planned, but maybe that's just more realistic and I should go with it until I hit a plateau.

Thanks for asking!, so far so good I think..I'm down about 2 lbs, but I think I was especially bloated the last time I weighed, so I'll know better about the diet's effectiveness next week, I think. I need to be more on top of logging everything down..but I'm eating better foods in general and I've kept my resolution to drink more water.

Me and a friend joined the gym today and we're going to be taking exercise classes so hopefully that will help alot also.

I saw your thread on having only 20 more lbs to go, congratulations! You'll get to your goal soon, I'm sure.

The people around me think another 20 lbs is TOO much. We'll see. If I stop losing now I'm ok with that. the job at hand now is to maintain good health and get my protein and water in. Taking all my vitamins and supplements is a challenge for someone as disorganized as me LOL
