Please call 1-800-826-2716 (it's a free call). A woman's voice will name two or three colors. Please post them here. It's vital I have this info within the next few hours, or I'll have to start hiking to find a pay phone.

I need to submit to random drug tests for work, and they post the colors in the morning. Sometimes they do it on holidays even, so I wasn't going to take any chances. The last thing I needed this morning was a dead phone (not even a dial tone).

I have 24 hours grace now. I hope by tomorrow either the mechanic will have my car fixed or Credo will have delivered my new cell phone. If not, I'll have to beg your indulgence again.

4. Why didn't I think of this before!

Since my DSL works - even though my land line is dead - I checked out ways to make a call over the internet. I now have a free Skype account, and it works nicely for calling that number.

I freakin' hate AT&T! When my DSL works, the phone sucks, and vice versa. As soon as I can find another provider, I'm giving them the heave-ho.

I guess not getting Skype before now is just another example of my crazy alcoholic thinking. And to think I walked 2 miles each way yesterday (the buses weren't running for MLK day) to tell my mechanic to go ahead and fix the car. After checking out how much it cost to lease a car, I figure even if my beater only works for a few more months I'd still save money.

Oh, and my cell phone arrived today. Within a few days I'll have wheels and communication.
