Happy Thanksgiving! An attitude of gratitude.
I'm getting an early start on my gratitude list.

That is what Thanksgiving is all about.

I'm grateful for;

my Higher Power
my sobriety
my friends and family
(includes the four legged members ;-) )
this great group here
a roof over my head
food in the cupboards

a car that runs ( knock on wood) and can take me to meetings
a son who occasionally listens to his 'ole mom
students who don't try to 'sink the sub'

This is just for starters.
I'll add more ;-)

Happy clean and sober Thanksgiving to all my good friends, here.
I love you guys!

1. Happy Day to you too!
my list:

I'm grateful I don't have to go to the supermarket for supplies to roast the Turkey for the Alano Club potluck

I'm grateful for the time off with my hubby

I'm grateful that I don't have to travel further than 6 miles on this holiday to be surrounded by people I care about

I'm grateful that the program of AA has given me all these gifts and so many more.....

4. I'm grateful I have good, sober friends
Both in and out of the program. And that I'm spending the next few days with them.

And today I'm particularly grateful my mechanic stayed a few minutes overtime to get my heap in running order! Not having a car to get to meetings and get-togethers for the next four days would really stink.

5. Hi Judy,

That is great!
What a great guy your mechanic is.

That reinforces my faith in humanity.

Happy Thanksgiving!

6. I am grateful today for my serenity
And to be able to maintain my serenity by realizing that I cannot expect an insane (truly and clinically insane) person to behave in a sane manner.

8. Hi Kitchy! That's going to help you
Edited on Fri Nov-23-07 08:26 PM by Kajsa
cope with that person. Good for you, lady!

Here's a big  cos I know you are homesick, too.

Hey, IKEA has a 'win a trip home for the holidays' contest
on right now. It's another good reason to visit IKEA.

Hang in there, you've been through a hell of a lot, this
past month and a half.

another

edit: But watch out Kitchy, IKEA got lutefisk in this week.

;-)
