How to turn Ancestry.com's 'three days free' offer into weeks of access.

OK, I'm really bad. I did this. But heck, I wanted to try it out before I finally broke down and bought a subscription. I don't know if this will work for everyone, but it's worth a try.

I belong to AOL. Yes, the last living person on earth to have it - but I live in the sticks and it's all we've got. Anyway, AOL gives you multiple email addresses. And you can make them up, use them for a day (or three,) cancel them, make up new ones, and repeat over and over and over.

Ancestry.com has their 'three days free' offer going right now, NO credit card required.

I don't know if they track IP addresses or not. With AOL, I get a new IP addy every time I log on.
I can't be tracked.

So if you want to use Ancestry for as long as the free offer exists, and you have access to multiple email addresses, do this:

Sign up under any email addy other than your main addy. The last time Ancestry had this offer, it also had an 'offer' for you to ask other friends to try out the 'three days free' plan. So all you do is keep referring yourself under your other email addys and every three days you activate one of those new 'offers.'
I did this for three weeks and it worked out perfectly. Every three days I would activate a new addy and close one out. It took all of five minutes at a time and I was able to do a lot of research during those three weeks.

I know. I'm bad, bad, bad. But heck, all of those records should be FREE anyway.

3. Good idea! Yes, those records should be free....

I've heard from people who did research and posted it online, that the paid sites took their information and now expect to charge them for access.
