Any other Met fans against the Delgado trade?
I thought we were building from youth? To give up 2 up and coming players like we did to get an aging star is just foolish in my book. Petit was our best pitching prospect too. This whole move looks Steinbrenner-lite to me.

1. Flags fly forever.
The Mets have a chance, and a good one, to be competitive. Getting Delgado is a step in that direction, as he's a 1B with immense power.

This coming from a very disappointed fan of the future Las Vegas Marlins.

2. I wasn't crazy about giving up the young 1b
and the Mets have a history of mostly crappy big signings. Mo being the classic.
