They are gunning for the sick people--HR 2355 passes. Horde your supplies.
From the American Diabetes Association, pre-passage.

There is a bill in the House, HR 2355, that would
allow insurance companies currently doing business under the
laws of the 46 states that are required to cover diabetes needs to
also set up shop in the 4 that don't. These companies
will then be permitted to follow those states' laws regarding the
sale of individual health insurance policies -- policies that do not
cover diabetes. This bill, entitled the Health Care Choice
Act, effectively permits those insurers to switch the
rules for themselves with a small administrative change.
But the change for all people with diabetes who have individual
health insurance policies could potentially be huge and we must
stop it.

Sponsors of this legislation say it will help cover more
Americans. But we wonder: what good is health insurance if it
doesn't cover the things you need to live? Please contact your
Representative and urge him or her to oppose HR 2355. Remind
your Representative that people with diabetes need access to
affordable and adequate health care, the kind they currently have
under 46 states' laws!
