It's about a day and a half drive from here.

I have a funny feeling that they're going to find a lot more nasty little retroviruses out there. I've always thought that was at the bottom of a lot of autoimmune/collagen vascular diseases, given the fact that SLE and SS patients have false positives to HIV antibody tests.

I've wished for a long time that a doctor of the "bang two rocks together and see what happens" school of medical philosophy would treat some of us empirically with antiretrovirals to see what happens.

This is really good news. I'm just hoping they're doing good, solid science out there so that more of us can be helped eventually.

according to the site, they are working on making the test more available. and yeah, i will be right behind you. worth the price of a plane ticket, even.
