fibro and injury

reading the article posted here about cfs (i think fibro is probably just a form of cfs), and they mention "insults" as a trigger. i think my fibro started early in life, but really took off when i had west nile virus. i think viruses are a common trigger.
now, i am having my usual spring flair, so it is hard to say what is going on exactly. also had a stomach virus that has been going around, which hit me hard, so it also could be that. but i crashed my bike the other day, and have several nice bruises. this really seems to be causing an overall worsening. i feel like true shit the last couple of days.
anybody else have similar experience?

1. My very first serious bout with fibro was triggered

by an injury. I knocked my elbow on the car door and the next day couldn't raise my arm over my head to change my shirt.

2. Fibro. for me started during a virus, as well.

I've heard many fibro. sufferers bring up the fact that theirs began either during/following illness or injury.
