Hey! Countdown is on tonight!
I figured, it being a holiday, it wouldn't.

Goody!

Hey, take a break from the hot dogs, burgers, fries (God, I'm hungry), sun, surf, mountain creeks or just plain ol' back yard to watch Countdown tonight.

>From the top of the news to some Countdown classics, it will be a special show.

Countdown w/ Keith Olbermann broadcasts LIVE at 8 pm et, and the count is never complete without you. Join us.

600 Pound Tiger Gets Root Canal... Animal Hall of Fame.

That's some of what we're planning for tonight's show.

Finally,
Many dentists have a difficult time performing root canals on scared humans. So it's no surprise that a root canal on a 600-pound Bengal tiger required three dentists, an oral surgeon, a veterinarian - and plenty of courage. The 15-year-old tiger known as Kubie traveled from an Oregon preservation center to Lodi for the procedure at the Arbor Pet Clinic, which has handled similar operations on other big animals. Kubie has teeth as long as human fingers and generates about 10,000 pounds of jaw pressure with each bite. That power is especially daunting considering Kubie had a toothache. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/T/TIGER_ROOT_CANAL?SITE=NWCN&TEMPLATE=STRANGEHEADS.html&SECTION=HOME
Next challenge: convincing Kubie there is a tooth fairy.

"Star Wars still going strong... Star Wars Hall of Fame"

Hope I'm not the only SW nerd on KOEB ! My living room is a shrine to vintage toys, and one kick-ass movie poster signed (and authenticated) by the entire cast in Attack of the Clones, including Lucas!

Yes, I'm not Martha Stewart-ish, I decorate more in "Smigel Fun House" motif...LOL.
