First thanks to everyone who posted their support for my kitty the other day. :hug:

Second, I just got off of the phone with the vet & IT'S NOT CANCER!!!!! It is apparently some sort of infection that grew around a "foreign body" & the vet hopes that with the antibiotics she gave me (& let me tell you just how much fun it's not to give medicine to a cat) the "foreign body" will work itself out. If not, I can take her back to the vet when I get home from my trip & they'll drain it & clean it. ::phew::

And yes, I'm well-acquainted with the many ways in which cats can spit and fling the various forms of medication. I think there's still pink the cracks in the woodwork at Mary's from when Battle was on antibiotics, but my favorite was always coaxing him to take some nasty pills called Ditrine. If you didn't get it down the hatch on the first try, the stuff foamed up amazingly and made it look like he had rabies. :-)
